Come Say Hello, Sing Happy Birthday to Finland, Throw Water on the Hot Rocks, Take a Selfie in the Sauna, Meet your Fellow Finns, and Network with Scandinavians.
FACC is organising one of a kind family luncheon with Traveling Sauna at Chef Soren Pedersen kitchen at Dunlavy street. The event will start at 11:00 am. At about 11:15 am we will have the honour of hearing greetings from Finnish Embassy in Washington D.C. by the Ambassador of Finland to the United States Mrs. Kirsti Kauppi. The buffet type lunch is served at 12:00pm.
Houston's Suomi-koulu will be also present at the event to share information about the just formed Finnish language school.
Traveling Sauna is an export promotion campaign tailored to increase Finland’s exports to the United States. The sauna travels across the entire continent, from West Coast through Mid-West to East Coast, traveling over 10,000 miles. As one of the first destinations in the USA, the Travelling Sauna will stop in Houston.
